Power supply

Power supply

The SLAM200 is powered by a battery handle (smart battery), which provides increased safety and reliability. The operating voltage is 10.8 V. One fully charged battery is enough for about 70 minutes of continuous operation (when using the SLAM200 alone). Under normal maintenance and operation, the battery lasts at least 500 charge-discharge cycles.

Charging

  • Do not use non-standard power supplies to charge the battery.
  • If the battery is hot after use, let the battery handle cool down to normal temperature before charging. The ambient temperature during charging must be between +5°C and +40°C.
  • Charge in an isolated place, away from flammable materials.
  • To avoid electric shock, do not open the charger without proper authorization.

Operation

  • The battery operating temperature must be between -10°C and +50°C. Too low a battery temperature may affect its service life and even prevent the device from starting.
  • When used outdoors, avoid direct sunlight on the battery handle.
  • Before connecting, make sure the device connectors are dry and free of moisture.
  • When the battery is used at low temperatures (-10°C to +15°C), its operating time may be reduced. Pre-warming the battery above +15°C before use can help increase the operating time.
  • Do not remove the battery directly from a switched-on device.
  • Low temperatures activate the low-temperature charging protection, which prevents charging.
  • Do not continue using a battery that has been deformed by a fall or impact.
  • If the battery accidentally falls into water, remove it immediately and place it in a safe open area. Stay away from the battery until it is completely dry. A dried battery must not be used again; it must be disposed of in accordance with waste disposal instructions.
  • If the battery catches fire, immediately use sand, a fire blanket, or a powder or CO2 fire extinguisher to put it out. Large fires can lead to explosions. Choose the appropriate extinguishing method depending on the situation.
  • Using non-original batteries is strictly prohibited. If you need to replace the battery, buy it on the official website or from authorized dealers. We are not responsible for any battery incidents or equipment failures caused by the use of non-original batteries.
  • Battery storage temperature and humidity requirements: -20°C to +45°C and 45% to 90% relative humidity.
  • Do not use or charge swollen, leaking or damaged batteries. If the battery smells, overheats (battery temperature above 60°C), deforms, changes color or shows any other abnormal signs, stop using it. If the battery is in an abnormal condition, contact after-sales service or an authorized distributor for further action.
  • The battery should only be used at ambient temperatures from -10°C to +50°C. Temperatures above +50°C may cause the battery to catch fire or even explode. Temperatures below -10°C will seriously damage the battery.
  • Never disassemble the battery or puncture it with sharp objects. This may cause the battery to leak and potentially catch fire or explode.
  • Avoid mechanical impact, crushing or throwing the battery. Do not place heavy objects on the battery or charger.
  • If the battery has been dropped or subjected to an external impact, stop using it immediately.
  • Never heat the battery. Do not put the battery in a microwave oven or pressure cooker.
  • Do not place the battery contacts on conductive surfaces (for example, metal tables, glasses, watches, jewelry, etc.).
  • Avoid short-circuiting the positive and negative battery terminals with wires or other metal objects.
  • If the battery connectors are dirty, wipe them with a clean dry cloth. Otherwise, poor contact may cause energy loss or charging failure.

Transportation

  • During transportation, the battery must be placed in reliable and stable packaging to avoid contact with liquids or impacts against hard objects. Never immerse the battery in water or let it get wet. Water inside the battery can cause a chemical reaction that may lead to spontaneous combustion or even an explosion.

Maintenance

  • Charge the battery promptly after each use. Do not store discharged batteries for a long time. If the battery will not be used for a long time, charge it to more than 50% and put it into storage. To keep it in working order, perform a charge-discharge cycle every three months.

Battery storage

  • Store the battery out of the reach of children and pets.
  • The battery should be stored in an explosion-proof box in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Do not store the battery near heat sources (for example, stoves or heaters) or in a hot car. Never store the battery at ambient temperatures above +45°C. The ideal storage temperature is 22°C to 28°C.
  • Do not store the battery in conditions with sharp temperature changes.
  • Do not store a fully charged battery in a transport box at temperatures above +45°C.
  • Storing the battery discharged for a long time may lead to deep discharge,
which may make the battery unusable.
  • Do not store the battery together with sharp objects and do not allow it to be punctured.
  • Prevent the battery from falling or being damaged.
  • Store the battery in a dry place.
  • Never store a fully discharged battery for a long time, as this may lead to deep discharge causing irreversible damage.

Battery disposal

  • Do not disassemble, strike, crush or throw the battery into fire. Never place the battery in a high-temperature environment.
  • If the battery is swollen, has a damaged outer shell or is leaking, do not use it again. Dispose of it immediately.
  • Before disposal, always fully discharge the battery and then place it in a special battery recycling container. Batteries are hazardous materials and must never be thrown into ordinary waste bins. Follow local laws and regulations on battery recycling and disposal.
  • If the battery cannot be fully discharged, do not throw it directly into a recycling container. Contact a specialized battery recycling company for further action.
