# Pre-flight Check and Preparation

**Package check.** Check the system package contents (see [chapter 2.1](https://topodrone.com/knowledge/topodrone-sony-ilx-lr1/system-description-and-design/)).

**Drone check.** Make sure that all drone systems are in working order and the batteries are charged.

> **Danger:** Replace damaged propellers with new ones: vibrations from damaged propellers cause the "jello" effect and blur in images.

**Memory cards.** Make sure that there is enough free space on the camera memory card and on the LR1 Control Module microSD card.

**Payload connector.** Make sure that the contact pads of the X-Port gimbal connector and the drone Skyport connector are clean, undamaged and free of oxidation.

**Lens.** Check that the front lens element is clean.
