## 5.1 General Installation Procedure

> **Danger:** Install the equipment in conditions without dust, precipitation and strong wind. In bad weather, perform the installation indoors, in a vehicle or under a shelter so that moisture and dust do not get on the X-Port connector contacts and the lens.

1. Remove the camera with the gimbal from the case.
2. Remove the lens cap and check that the lens is clean.
3. Install the gimbal with the camera on the drone Skyport connector (see [chapter 5.2](https://topodrone.com/knowledge/topodrone-sony-ilx-lr1/installation/)).
4. Close the case with at least one latch.

> **Danger:** Do not leave the case open: it is usually located near the takeoff site, and dirt, dust and moisture can get inside, causing corrosion and equipment damage.

## 5.2 Installation on DJI Matrice 400 / 350 RTK

1. Remove the protective covers from the gimbal X-Port connector and the drone Skyport connector.
2. Insert the gimbal into the Skyport connector and rotate it until it clicks lightly. The gimbal is locked.
3. Turn on the drone and wait for the gimbal and camera to initialize.
4. In the DJI Pilot 2 app, open the gimbal settings and perform the gimbal auto calibration.

> **Danger:** Perform the gimbal auto calibration on a level, stationary surface without vibration. It is performed once when you receive the equipment.

Removal is performed in reverse order: press the button on the Skyport connector holder and rotate the gimbal in the opposite direction.
