Since TOPODRONE SLAM 100 can work without GNSS signal, it can be used for underground and surface scanning, both indoors and outdoors, such as underground garages, narrow passages between high-rise buildings, etc. Since LiDAR also works without light, TOPODRONE SLAM 100 can be used in karst caves, mine tunnels, bomb shelters and other places.
Since LiDAR can be affected by refraction and reflection, the SLAM 100 laser is not suitable for scanning surfaces with a lot of glass or mirrors, such as mirror mazes, glass buildings, etc.
Since TOPODRONE SLAM 100 performs matching based on previously acquired point cloud data, accuracy cannot be guaranteed if the map built from this data has a large area with a similar structure, for example long straight corridors without additional geometric features.
